Patricia Tewes Richards

Patricia Tewes Richards is a painter with a background in medicine and scientific research. This led to a fascination with the natural world and love for experimentation. Taking her inspiration from nature and the body, she is a “mad scientist” in the studio. To some extent, the process of experimenting in creating the work is what the work is about. Her hope is to transmit the feelings embedded in that process to other people. Current work includes paintings that can be held and turned over, and mixed media work using acrylic, collage, ink, pastel, watercolor, and sewing techniques.
