Sanchez recently established L.O.C.C.A.: Law Office Center for Citizenship and Art in Houston, Texas. L.O.C.C.A. is an artist think-tank and a community embedded initiative based at an historic law office in Houston’s East End Hispanic neighborhood. L.O.C.C.A. combines art initiatives with social action that address issues confronting the Latino and Mexican American experience. It seeks community collaborations to provide an aesthetic experience in order to discover a broader definition of human fulfillment and citizenship for the local population. L.O.C.C.A. also collaborates with University of Houston’s Center for Mexican-American Studies, the Houston Public Library’s Hispanic Archive, the United We Dream organization and the Exquisite Corps Container Program
