I am an artist/educator working in multiple mediums and teaching art to low income, refugee and special needs students. I utilize techniques and artistic vocabulary from historic eras, often using “aging” techniques to make my compositions read as if they were native to the age in question rather than modern constructs. National histories weave together fact and fiction – my figures composed of disparate parts present a visual analogy to this chimeric process.
