Alexandra Hammond

Alexandra Hammond's art practice spans painting, installation, performance and retail interventions. She is an an ambivalent Utopian. Her current work investigates the paradoxical function of the idyll, a perfected image of wholeness that can only be viewed from the outside. Her work negotiates the relationship between images and objects as inseparable: both producing and interacting with human consciousness. In concert with her art practice, Hammond is a writer, brand consultant and communications designer serving clients in sustainable ventures and social innovation.
